Double Time Feel all boils down to music. Well, music and the fact that I got really tired of trying to think of interesting personal tidbits to write about. The city I live in (Chicago, if you didn't catch that already) is full of amazing music/musicians, and sometimes I feel that they do not get the respect and/or attention they deserve. This is my little corner of the internet where I have chosen to provide my two cents on what's going on with the music I like in Chicago.

I'm unsure if this is where the disclaimer would go, or if one is necessary... but if I had one, this would be it:

1) As you may have already noticed, I'm no professional journalist. I have no aspirations to be one, nor do I possess the talent to be one. I do this strictly because I love music and have an unhealthy compulsion to do something about it.

2) I write about bands that I know about, and in some cases, may be seen cavorting with said musicians over a beer at some seedy local tavern. Plainly put, I am friends with some of the people I will be covering. If that isn't your idea of 'journalistic integrity' or presents a serious 'conflict of interest', I understand that. However, I will refer you to #1. There are plenty of great places to visit on the int0rwEb for 'fair and balanced' coverage on all things music (not fox news, though).

3) I may, from time to time, write about events or things that involve my own musical endeavors. Once again, please read #2, which will lead you back to #1 (easy, right?)

4) If you want me to write about something you are involved with, please email me. I'm always open to checking out new stuff, and if I dig it and I have the time to write about it... I'll most certainly include it here. I don't exactly have people knocking down my door for coverage... so just hit me up and we'll go from there, cool?
